Communication Studies Reaches Out With Celebration Week

Communication Studies Celebration Week is under way through Friday, April 20 at UNC Charlotte’s College of Liberal Arts & Sciences. In its second year, the celebration includes showcase events that feature activities of faculty and students in the Department of Communication Studies.

“Communication Studies Celebration Week is an opportunity for the university community, local community and our majors to celebrate the importance of communication in our everyday world,” said Shawn Long, department chair. “We celebrate the outstanding work of our students and faculty, and we look forward to extending our connections with the broader community.”

This year’s series of events features an internship fair, showcases Communication Studies student clubs and features alumni and national speakers.  It also includes an awards ceremony banquet and supports the Center for Global Public Relations Research Conference.  The events are open to the public, unless noted otherwise, and most events are free.
