Kruckeberg to Receive Atlas Award for Lifetime Achievement in PR
Dean Kruckeberg, Communication Studies, is recipient of the 2013 Atlas Award for Lifetime Achievement in International Public Relations, which will be presented by the 21,000-member Public Relations Society of America at the General Session of its International Conference in Philadelphia Oct. 28.
The Atlas Award recognizes a public relations practitioner who has made extraordinary contributions to the practice and profession of public relations in an international environment over the span of his or her career. The recipient need not be a member of PRSA.
Kruckeberg was an invited lecturer for the public relations research “Dream Course” at the University of Oklahoma Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication” September 24, 2013, discussing “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly of Survey Research: Avoiding Bias in Sampling and Questionnaire Development.” He also gave a public lecture, “In Search of the Ethics’ Holy Grail: Normative Theory and the Role of the Communication Professional in Global Society,” and led a discussion in the graduate course, Conceptual Issues in Mass Communication.
