Hannah Javidi ’18 named to Forbes 30 under 30 list for Healthcare Achievement

Hannah Javidi ’18 has been named to the 2025 Forbes 30 under 30 list for notable achievements in healthcare in North America. Forbes named Javidi to the list for her creation of a digital program that teaches teens about sexual consent.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and Spanish from the College of Humanities and Earth & Social Sciences and a Ph.D. in applied social and community psychology from N.C. State University. Javidi is a scholar, psychologist, educator, advocate and engaged community member working in adolescent sexual health. She is currently a postdoctoral fellow at Indiana University’s School of Public Health, where she is continuing Ph.D. research aimed at developing and implementing effective intervention strategies to ultimately enhance adolescents’ sexual health and quality of life.
Javidi was awarded the UNC Charlotte GOLD Alumni Network “10 Under Ten” award in January 2024. Her passion is sexual consent education and she is working to reduce sexual violence on a broad scale, specifically among LGBTQ+ youth. Javidi recently received a five-year grant from the National Institutes of Health to support her work in this area.
Javidi has deep ties to Charlotte with several other family members as fellow Niners, including her brother who is a current master’s degree student and her father who earned his doctoral degree here. She was an actively engaged student while at Charlotte including participating in the freshman Emerging Leaders program, singing in the University Chorale and spending a semester in Spain.
She expressed her love for Charlotte during her acceptance speech for her alumni award. “This campus really is one of my favorite places on earth and for my name to still be used in connection with UNC Charlotte is such an honor, and it fills me with so much joy and pride,” said Javidi. “It will always be ‘Go Niners’.”
