Public Affairs and Clinical Psychology Rank Among Top Graduate Programs from U.S. News

UNC Charlotte’s graduate programs from the College of Humanities & Earth and Social Sciences have risen in the 2025 rankings, which came out today from U.S. News & World Report.
Public Affairs in the Gerald G. Fox Master of Public Administration program ranks No. 49 nationally. The program also has top 25 rankings in three specializations, with local government ranking No. 21, public finance and budgeting ranking No. 23, and nonprofit management in the No. 24 spot.
The Clinical Psychology program rose 10 positions and is tied in the rankings at No. 78, taking the penultimate spot among public schools in North Carolina.
CHESS Dean Chris Boyer explains that the newest rankings help illustrate the success of these programs. “I am happy to see the latest national rankings for our graduate programs from the U.S. News & World Report,” said Boyer. “These programs stand out in our state, as well as nationally, helping to prepare students for careers that make a difference in their communities.”
The rankings of the graduate programs join the online bachelor degree programs from CHESS that were ranked by U.S. News & World Report earlier this year, as well as UNC Charlotte’s overall ranking of No. 81 among public universities.
