Alumni & Giving

HOW TO GET INVOLVED

College of Humanities & Earth and Social Sciences alumni live, work and make a difference throughout the world. Many of our alumni, along with friends of the College, continue to stay connected with us in a variety of ways. We hope you will stay connected, and join us for events, volunteerism options, and other opportunities to help our students prepare for their futures.

CHESS Alumni Council

Join the CHESS Alumni Council and engage with alumni to create meaningful connections and advance career opportunities for current students and the initiatives of the college. The purpose of the CHESS Alumni Council is to strengthen the relationship between alumni, students, and the college. If you are an alumnus interested in making a meaningful impact at UNC Charlotte, we are currently accepting applications.

Attend Events

One avenue for getting involved is through the College’s programs and events, which are offered to the university community and to the general public. For a full listing of upcoming programs, please check our events calendar. Among our efforts to share knowledge beyond the academic setting, we have a vibrant Community Engagement program.

Volunteer

We welcome alumni who can help our students and faculty in many ways. Volunteers offer expertise through service on advisory committees, participation on panels, support of internship and mentoring programs, and more. You are welcome to reach out to the College at chess-alumni@charlotte.edu or to the department(s) where you received your degree(s) or look for existing opportunities listed by the Alumni Association. In addition, watch for announcements sent directly to you, from the CHESS Alumni Council.
