CHESS AI Week

Oct. 20 to 24: Exploring Artificial Intelligence Across the Humanities & Earth and Social Sciences

AI Week: College of Humanities & Earth and Social Sciences

Why AI in the Humanities & Earth and Social Sciences?

Artificial intelligence (AI) has the ability to be a critical influence on knowledge and the future of society.

From stand alone apps to sophisticated computer programming systems, AI is used to replicate cognitive processes in almost every industry and academic discipline. Like human intelligence, AI can analyze, organize and dispense information super quickly—even faster than what humans can coordinate individually.

AI has profound implications on how humans choose to use and be affected by the technology. With such broad reaching effects on the humanities & earth and social sciences, faculty from across CHESS are enthusiastic about bringing you a whole week of presentations and discussions.

Times and locations vary through the week, launching with the Religious Studies Phillips Lecture and culminating with a full AI Symposium on Friday.
Full details and information about parking and accessibility. All events are open to the public at no charge and include opportunities for Q&A.
Registration links will be available soon. In the meantime, join the mailing list.
