Winning Research Funding with Russell Sage
Wednesday, September 17, 2:00-3:00 p.m.

Seeking research funding is an increasingly competitive process and preparing a successful application can be a challenging and time-consuming exercise. This webinar will provide a practical overview of applying for research grants from the Russell Sage Foundation. Program staff from the foundation will discuss their funding priorities, the grant writing and review process, the basics of what makes a good grant proposal, processes for developing ideas for funding and budgeting, and specify what to include in research proposals.
The Russell Sage Foundation was established by Margaret Olivia Sage in 1907 for “the improvement of social and living conditions in the United States.” It dedicates itself to strengthening the methods, data, and theories of the social sciences in order to better understand societal problems and develop informed responses. The foundation supports visiting scholars in residence and publishes books and a journal under its own imprint. It also funds researchers at other institutions and supports programs intended to develop new generations of social scientists.
